The business men around the world may often have thought of having a handy portable projector that could make the presentations happen at the instant they want it to. There are already many gadgets that could serve the purpose. But what if it is not a separate device but integrated with in your cell phone? Don’t you say that the idea is excellent if it can deliver in premium quality?
And yes now all big presenters can party because a high quality ultra compact projector is ready in the shelf to be picked up for cell phones. 3M Corporation announce the success at CES with newly developed tiny projector, which can be integrated into the cell phones and transmit an image of VGA-quality.
This gadget uses an LED as the light source and can project a VGA resolution (640 pixels by 480 pixels) image through a lens that’s about a centimeter in diameter. Measuring as thin as 1 cm this compact projector (4×3x1 cm) could be there in next gen cell phones.
It appears from the available info that diagonal of the image transmitted by this projector would be easy enough to see over a distance of about half a meter. Sources say that 3M is already working with companies interested in embedding the projector in devices, and the first products should be out in early 2008.
