Well you cannot stop a plane. But surely you can check for bombs. And if you can machanise it, you can save more lives in case of some mishandling. Is there any gadget that can sniff for a bomb in the office?
Yes there is one, the E-Nose. No I’m not talking about the costly ones. But those that come for 10$. This could very well find dozens of indoor as well as outdoor uses in your home or office.
These e-noses are made of conducting polymers that can sense odour. Pharmaceuticals or as part of intelligent or interactive appliances, refrigerator that knows when milk has gone bad could be its best use.
